GDA DanRe Installs Meteorological Masts for Potential 80 MW Wind Project After Securing Grid Connection Framework with GSE
GDA DanRe is pleased to announce the successful installation of meteorological masts at the site of its potential 80 MW wind project in Georgia.
Installed in cooperation with a specialized Romanian wind assessment team, the masts will collect wind resource data over the coming months as part of a broader programme of technical, environmental, and engineering studies being undertaken to the highest international standards.
The measurement campaign will support project design, energy yield assessments, and financing preparations, while helping ensure compliance with the requirements typically expected by international financial institutions and other potential investors.
The installation marks another important milestone for the project and follows the recent grid connection framework agreement signed with the Georgian State Electrosystem (GSE).
Esben Christensen, CEO of Danish Renewables, commented:
“Reliable wind measurements are a critical foundation for any successful wind project. We are pleased to see this important milestone achieved and look forward to supporting the next stages of development.”
Mihai Suciu, Managing Partner at Wind Measurements, added:
“The installation was completed in accordance with international standards and will provide the high-quality data required to assess the site’s wind potential and support future project development.”
